Picture Description
In the back is my father (David) and me. In the front row is my sister Emily, brother Ryan, mother (Hwei-Yun), and finally my older sister Romy. This picture was taken during the summer of 2000, when my family came to visit me in California. This is the picture taken by the ferry company right before we got onto the ferry heading to Alcatraz island (which can be seen in the background). I decided to use this picture because I am sure that we paid some ridiculous amount for it.
Family
My mom and dad are now mostly retired, although they have recently been working hard starting a new private school in my hometown of Corvallis, Oregon. I always joke that they looked at how I turned out and resolved that they had to do something about the education of my little brother and sister. The school is called Ashbrook Independent School, and is the largest private secular school in Corvallis. The school is housed in a beautiful new building on the south side of Corvallis, with great facilities for everything from science to theatre to sports.
My older sister Romy is currently living in Eugene, about an hour south of Corvallis (where the rest of my family lives). Emily is about to start her senior year at the University of Pennsylvania, and keeps herself busy with tennis, theatre, and homework. Ryan just finished his first year at Oregon State, in my home town.
